Bobby Darin was an American legend whose songs moved in and out of genres, from jazz and swing to rock and roll and pop. In 1958, Darin co-wrote and recorded his first million-selling single, "Splish Splash", which was followed by the singer’s own tune, "Dream Lover.” Covers of "Mack the Knife" and "Beyond the Sea" followed, which brought him worldwide fame. In 1962, he won a Golden Globe Award for his first film, Come September, co-starring his first wife, actress Sandra Dee.

That marriage is depicted in the musical, along with other thrilling chapters in Darin’s singular life that was all too short. Audiences can expect a riveting performance from Jonathan Groff, always a commanding stage presence, and a deep dive into the one-of-a-kind life of Darin, which featured shocking family surprises, timeless songs, and plenty of star wattage that kept the party going long after the nightclub closed down.
