The well-acted centers on two funny maids who are resentful of their inferior social position. It delves into themes of class struggle, illusion, betrayal, and otherness: all the major themes that govern author Jean Genet's dreams. Kip Williams' new version, however, is set in a digital age and on a charming stage covered with"fake flowers."
Interesting play. Didn’t love the plot and found some parts hard to follow. Use of projections was both really cool and significantly distracting.
Knock-out performances, incredible and relentless pace.
